Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Paediatric Dietitian to join the Community and Eating Disorders teams on a 12-month maternity cover, with a varied caseload across community paediatrics and eating disorders.

The role offers flexible, hybrid working and a supportive, collaborative environment within a large NHS trust, welcoming applicants with relevant experience even if Band 7 criteria are not fully met.

Qualifications

• Degree / Post graduate qualification in nutrition & / or dietetics.
• HCPC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• BDA Membership.
• Postgraduate diploma / MSc or evidence of advanced dietetic practice.
• Clinical Supervisory Skills Course (Basic).
• BDA Advanced Eating Disorders Course.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
• Sound professional judgement.
• Team player and able to maintain effective working relationships.
• Resilient and adaptable.
• Reflective approach to practice.
• Active/committee member of BDA Specialist Interest Group.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist dietetic service to children and young people with complex nutritional needs.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a varied caseload including eating disorders.
• Deliver care in outpatient clinics, community venues, schools and patients' homes.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including CAMHS and paediatricians.
• Contribute to research, service development, quality improvement and CPD.
