Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a specialist eating disorder dietitian to join the countywide children’s eating disorder service. The postholder will work with two clinical leads and a broader MDT, delivering clinics, assessments, and collaborative care with paediatricians and therapists.

The role involves senior autonomous practice, audit participation, and contributing to policy within a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics leading to HPC registration.
• Registration as a Dietitian.
• Teaching qualification or experience delivering groups.
• Substantial post‑registration dietetic experience in community and mental health services.
• Postgraduate specialist dietetic training or equivalent clinical practice.
• Advanced counselling skills training or experience.
• Membership of British Dietetic Association Mental Health Group.
• Experience working with mental illness and eating disorders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a high quality Nutrition and Dietetic service to the area.
• Work as a senior autonomous practitioner delivering a high quality dietetic service in Cornwall Foundation Trust.
• Support and establish audit and robust evaluation of the dietetic service.
• Approach tasks with an open mind and respond empathetically to situations.
• Ensure nutrition/dietetic participation in multi‑professional teams and contribute to policy.
• Be a key member of the MDT.
• Be a key member of the Dietitians Mental Health Team within Cornwall Foundation Trust.
