Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Paediatric Clinical Support Worker to assist the nursing team in delivering high-quality clinical care to paediatric patients. The role involves supporting hygiene, nutrition, and patient dignity, and working within a multidisciplinary team to promote excellent care.

Training and progression paths are available as part of the Trust's staff development. You will help escort patients around the hospital, maintain Infection Prevention and Control standards,

Qualifications

• Provide nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Carry out assigned tasks including direct care and indirect care as delegated by the nursing team.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
• Demonstrate high standards in record keeping.
• Escort patients to other departments ensuring patient safety and dignity.
• Chaperone patients during clinical examinations, ensuring privacy and dignity.
• Adherence to Trust Infection Control Policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality clinical care under supervision of the nursing team.
• Assist with hygiene and nutritional needs of patients.
• Escort patients safely within the hospital to different locations.
• Maintain IPC standards and professional behaviour in line with Trust values.
