Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Paediatric Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) to support the nursing team in delivering high quality paediatric care. You will perform clinical observations, escalate to the nurse in charge, and assist with hygiene, nutrition, and enteral feeding as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves ensuring patient safety, maintaining IPC standards, and contributing to training and progression opportunities within the Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering clinical observations and escalating to nursing staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Carry out assigned direct and indirect care tasks.
• Support the nursing team with clinical treatments and investigations as appropriate.
• Escort patients to departments within the hospital ensuring safety and dignity.
• Assist with infection prevention and maintain IPC standards.
