Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking compassionate Paediatric Clinical Support Workers to support children and young people in our Paediatric Ward and Paediatric Assessment Unit. Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and infection prevention practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document PEWS accurately and promptly, reporting deterioration.
• Undertake phlebotomy and collect blood samples from children and young people.
• Support children and young people during investigations, procedures and treatments with age-appropriate communication.
• Answer calls, take messages and escalate information to staff.
• Assist with patient records and documentation (paper and electronic).
• Coordinate appointments, admissions, transfers and discharge paperwork as directed.
