Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Children's Clinic Assistant to promote the smooth running of community paediatric clinics across the city. You will weigh and measure children, assist families with paperwork, and provide essential admin support for child protection and initial health assessment clinics.

The role requires good IT skills, a willingness to travel between locality clinics, and the ability to support children with disabilities and their families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation pertaining to children.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexible working and willingness to travel across the city.
• Good IT skills with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support children with complex disability and challenging behaviour and their families/carers at community paediatric clinics.
• Provide administration support for child protection and initial health assessment documentation; including typing and referral management.
• Assist clinics and ensure safe, efficient running of all clinics.
• Coordinate patient information to support doctors in clinics.
• Travel across the city to support locality clinics.
