Job summary

Komplex Care Wirral is seeking a Paediatric Care Assistant to join our nurse-led team delivering specialist at-home care for a child with complex needs. You will provide personal care, medication support, and monitor the child’s condition within their own home, following detailed clinical care plans.

This is not standard domiciliary care, and you will work under clinical supervision. Part-time shifts range from 15 to 27 hours per week, including 5pm–8pm and 8pm–8am slots.

Qualifications

• Ideally a full UK driving licence.
• Experience in care or willingness to undergo clinical training.
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently.
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.
• Genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, medication and clinical interventions.
• Managing tracheostomies, ventilation and specialist equipment as required.
• Monitoring clinical observations and escalating concerns promptly.
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting daily living tasks at home.
