Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Junior Sister / Charge Nurse for the Paediatric ward. The post holder will assess care needs, implement and evaluate care plans, and work with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality paediatric nursing care.

You will act as a clinical leader, ensuring professional development of staff, and be designated to take charge of the unit on a regular basis. Strong paediatric experience and teaching ability are essential.

Qualifications

• RSCN/RN Child qualification required.
• Teaching and Assessing course or working towards.
• APLS/PILS certification desirable.
• Post-registration/professional development encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Provide evidence-based paediatric nursing to children and young people.
• Lead and supervise staff, taking charge of the unit regularly.
