Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated nurse to join the 6 North ward team. You will work under the Ward Sister/charge nurse to lead care delivery and ensure high standards of patient experience.

You will assess care needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care with the multidisciplinary team, and provide child and adolescent nursing within the hospital setting. You may take charge of the unit regularly in partnership with colleagues.

• Assess and plan individualized care for patients with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide efficient, evidence-based nursing care to children and young people.
• Take charge of the ward on a regular basis and support staff development.

Job description

The post holder will work under the direction of 6 North at the Royal Free Ward Sister/ charge nurse with responsibility for:The assessment of care needs for all patients, ensuring appropriately plannedcare is both implemented and evaluated.He/ she is expected to work with minimal supervision and will be designated totake charge of the unit on a regular basis.He/ she will act as an effective clinical leader and will ensure the clinical andprofessional development of all staff for whom they are responsible., To assess individual care needs, develop, implement and evaluate care given to patients in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.To provide efficient, effective and evidence based nursing care to children andyoung people within the hospital setting.To perform nursing procedures to a high standard in accordance with the RoyalFree Clinical Practice Guidelines and policies and to ensure that these policiesand procedures are understood and adhered to by all staff within ownmanagement responsibility.
