Job description

Paediatric Audiologist - Maternity Cover

We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Audiologist for a fixed-term, 10-month maternity cover at Northampton General Hospital Trust.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing diagnostic audiological assessments on neonates, children, and young people up to 18 years old, including those with learning disabilities, challenging behavior, or additional needs.
  2. Providing aural habilitation and counseling to parents/guardians about their children's hearing loss and treatment options.

You will work within an established team of Paediatric Audiologists and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Community Paediatricians and Teachers of the Deaf.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Audiology or equivalent.
  • Recent NHS paediatric audiology experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Registration or in the process of registering with RCCP/AHCS or HCPC.
  • Interest in contributing to the department's journey to IQIPS accreditation.
