Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Specialist Acute Paediatric Physiotherapist (Band 6) to join the Rainbow/Padua ward paediatric team. You will deliver inpatient physiotherapy with a respiratory bias, alongside the Band 7 physiotherapist, and may contribute to outpatient clinics.

You will lead the physiotherapy team, assess complex paediatric cases, provide specialist input to GPs and carers, and supervise junior staff, ensuring high-quality care in a dynamic

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc/Dip in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration and CPD portfolio.
• Experience of paediatrics at Band 5/6 level and to develop further.
• Involvement in audit, research and quality improvement.
• Teaching, supervision and supervision of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day Paediatric Physiotherapy on the ward for inpatients.
• Lead and support the Physiotherapy team within a specialist acute paediatric remit.
• Autonomously assess and treat a specialist paediatric caseload with complex needs.
• Provide expert advice to Trust colleagues and external partners.
• Teach, supervise and appraise junior physiotherapists and students.
• Contribute to paediatric training for on-call staff.
• Adhere to Trust policies and CSP Code of Conduct and develop departmental policies.
