Job summary

INTERVIEWS will be offered to experienced NMC registered Children's Nurses. The department sees a diverse paediatric patient population and has close links with paediatric wards and community services.
Qualifications
- NMC registered Children's Nurse with paediatric emergency experience.
- Interview consideration limited to experienced NMC registered paediatric nurses.
- Experience in Children's Emergency Department or HDU/PICU preferred.
- Committed to high-quality care for infants, children and families.
Responsibilities
- Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
- Supervise student nurses in training and act as assessor after training.
- Foster paediatric practice development through application of research.
- Provide clinical support in the paediatric Emergency Department.
- Communicate child care issues clearly to the child and family.
- Ensure accurate, legible documentation with awareness of legal implications.
- Assess individual needs and recognise when urgent action is required.
