Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Packer & Grader Operatives to join a busy Ilminster warehouse. This role suits reliable team players looking for ad-hoc shifts in a fast-paced food production environment.

You will inspect potatoes, follow grading standards, pack products, and help maintain quality and safety procedures. Pay is £13.30 per hour with a £50 overtime bonus and weekly pay.

Responsibilities

• Inspect potatoes and remove any that do not meet quality standards.
• Follow grading standards to ensure product quality.
• Identify and report any foreign bodies on the grading line.
• Pack potatoes carefully to ensure products reach customers in excellent condition.
• Monitor product quality throughout the packing process.
• Report damaged packaging or quality concerns to the Machine Operator.
• Ensure correct number of bags are packed into trays.
• Apply correct labels to products accurately.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene and food quality procedures.

Key Duties

• Follow photographic grading standards to ensure product quality.
• Identify and report any foreign bodies found on the grading line.
• Pack potatoes carefully to ensure products reach customers in excellent condition.
• Monitor product quality throughout the packing process.
• Report damaged packaging, poor seals, split bags, or quality concerns to the Machine Operator.
• Ensure the correct number of bags are packed into trays or MUs and stacked correctly on pallets.
• Apply the correct labels to products accurately.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and food quality procedures.
