Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Packer & Grader Operatives to join a busy Ilminster warehouse operation. The role covers various titles including Warehouse Operative, Packing Operative and Food Production Operative, with a focus on quality and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high quality standards while working shipping-ready products.

Responsibilities

• Inspect potatoes and remove any that do not meet quality standards.
• Follow photographic grading standards to ensure product quality.
• Identify and report any foreign bodies found on the grading line.
• Pack potatoes carefully to ensure products reach customers in excellent condition.
• Monitor product quality throughout the packing process.
• Report damaged packaging, poor seals, or quality concerns to the Machine Operator.
• Ensure correct number of bags are packed into trays or pallets.
• Apply the correct labels to products accurately.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and food quality procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives, Packing Operatives, Food Production Operatives, Quality Operatives, or Packer & Grader Operatives looking for flexible, ad-hoc work within a fast-paced food production environment.

Key Duties
