Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking a hands-on Packaging Technologist for a site-based role in Seaham. You will be involved from concept through to launch, developing packaging, running trials and ensuring everything works smoothly in production.

You’ll collaborate with NPD, QA, Operations, suppliers and design agencies to get packaging right, solving issues and driving improvements on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging within manufacturing environments.
• Good understanding of packaging materials and production processes.
• Ability to manage projects across functions.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing packaging development from concept through to launch
• Coordinating artwork, reprographics and print quality with design agencies
• Leading packaging trials and supporting new product launches
• Troubleshooting packaging issues alongside QA and Operations
• Managing packaging specifications, compliance and technical requirements
• Identifying cost-saving and continuous improvement opportunities
• Working with suppliers and keeping up with new packaging materials and trends
