Job summary

Potter & Moore Innovations in the UK is seeking a Packaging Technologist to develop, test, and implement packaging that protects products and supports sustainability. You will work cross-functionally with procurement, operations, quality, suppliers, and commercial teams.

The role focuses on designing packaging solutions, managing projects from concept to launch, and ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards while driving cost efficiency and recyclability improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Packaging Technologist or similar technical role.
• Knowledge of packaging materials (corrugate, plastics, films, cartons) and sustainable options.
• Understanding of packaging testing methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in FMCG or related industries is advantageous.
• Degree in Packaging Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

Candidate Description

• Experience in a Packaging Technologist, Packaging Development, or similar technical role.
• Knowledge of packaging materials including corrugate, plastics, films, cartons, and sustainable alternatives.
• Understanding of packaging testing methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience within FMCG, personnel care, food manufacturing, consumer goods, or a related industry is advantageous.
• Degree or qualification in Packaging Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
