Job summary

The Sofidel Group is seeking a packaging line operator to ensure smooth operation of the packaging machinery at our Baglan site. You will run the packaging line, support the roll pack bundler, and assist with material changes and data-sheet checks.

You will contribute to quality control, participate in basic maintenance, and help with line changes while maintaining high housekeeping and strong health & safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience operating packaging machinery and related equipment.
• Familiarity with production data sheets and product specs.
• Ability to assist in changeovers and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate the packaging line and related equipment.
• Manage roll pack bundler and feed materials as required.
• Change polyethylene reels and materials, assist with machine setup.
• Assist with cutting or handling skids/cases as needed.
• Oversee line restart after stoppages and ensure safety procedures.
• Check product against data sheets and production records.
• Draft production control data sheets and monitor quality.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor adjustments.
• Support colleagues during shifts and oversee end-line processes.
• Maintain high housekeeping and adhere to health & safety rules.

PURPOSE

To guarantee the right operation of the packaging machinery in compliance with the working instructions and the safety guide lines.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• To run the packaging machine
• To run the roll pack bundler machine
• To change the polyethylene reels and their optional materials or feed the machine with skillets or cases
• To run the log saw if required
• To stop and restart the machineries when needed
• To check the compliance between the product and the related data sheet
• To draft the data sheet regarding the production control
• Small maintenance activities and adjustments
• To manage the machinery change over
• To support the colleagues in case of need and overview the end line process when required
• To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
• To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
