Job summary

Mundipharma is seeking a Packaging Technologist for its Cambridge site to support operational excellence in solid-dose packaging. You will own packaging processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements across change control, NPI, and validation activities in a GMP environment.

The role requires hands-on technical capability, strong problem solving, and collaborative stakeholder engagement to ensure compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline would be preferable.
• Proven experience in solid dose pharmaceutical packaging and/or manufacturing.
• Experience developing packaging solutions for pharmaceutical/medical devices is advantageous.
• Strong GMP and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with packaging validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and qualification activities.

Responsibilities

• Technical Ownership: act as site technical authority for packaging processes, equipment, and materials (blisters, bottles, cartons, labels).
• Operational Troubleshooting: provide day-to-day technical support and investigate packaging issues to improve robustness.
• Change Control & NPI: manage packaging change controls, artwork updates, equipment modifications, NPI, and technology transfers.
• Continuous Improvement Leadership: lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput, yield, and cost.
• Validation & Qualification: contribute to line trials and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and risk assessments.
• GMP Documentation: author, review, and approve packaging GMP documents (SOPs, reports, specs).
• Performance Optimization: align packaging with OEE improvement and excellence targets.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: work with QA, Regulatory, Engineering, Manufacturing and suppliers.
