Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Packaging Technologist to coordinate new and revised packaging materials for launches, ensuring timely delivery to production and efficient procurement. You will support SAP activities, prepare artwork proofs, and develop material specifications while collaborating with QA, Labelling, and Production teams.

With 3+ years in manufacturing (pharma/healthcare preferred) and a Lean Six Sigma background, you will drive packaging changes and vendor relations to meet launch

Qualifications

• Qualified with a 3rd level Engineering/Scientific/Technical qualification.
• Lean Six Sigma qualification is required; Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably pharma/healthcare, with strong system capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate introduction of new or revised packaging materials for launches or revisions.
• Deliver approved materials on time to production lines and ensure efficient procurement.
• Support SAP master data creation and other SAP activities to improve supply chain efficiency.
• Prepare artwork proofs and technical contracts; communicate timelines with QA, Production, Labelling, and other departments.
• Develop packaging materials specifications and vendor relations for changes and new materials.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Co-ordinator the successful Packaging Technologist will be qualified with a 3rd Level Engineering/Scientific/Technical Qualification with a Lean Six Sigma qualification, Six Sigma certified an advantage.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Co-ordinator the successful Packaging Technologist will be qualified with a 3rd Level Engineering/Scientific/Technical Qualification with a Lean Six Sigma qualification, Six Sigma certified an advantage.

The successful Packaging Technologist will have 3+ years experience in the Manufacturing environment preferably in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.

Engineering/Technical Qualification desirable or relevant experience working in a Pharma environment., Eqms/ Trackwise, ADMS, Artwork Management systems. All Microsoft Office applications & strong systems capability.

Duties Will Include

• Delivery of approved materials on time to production lines.
• Efficient procurement of materials.
• Delivery of finished product to logistics function.
• Co-ordinate introduction of revised or new packaging materials.
• Support SAP activities to make Supply Chain more efficient.
• Support Business Interests in SAP Projects.

Main Function Of Job

• Co-ordinate the introduction of new/revised packaging materials for launches or revisions of products.
• Develop specifications and technical contracts for the procurement of packaging Materials. Provide technical packaging expertise to other departments.
• Implement Packaging Materials changes to ensure launch timelines are met and Materials revisions are introduced in a timely manner as per BLUE Artwork management system.
• Prepare artwork/proofs and technical contracts.
• Communicate timeframes with Labelling Management, Production, QA/ QC, and other departments.
• Develop new Packaging materials/specifications when required for existing and new vendors of Packaging Materials
• Prepare Master data changes where required for SAP
• Preparation of GMP documentation: BOMs, IPS, SOPs, WIs, Eqms/ Trackwise: Vendor Complaints, Change Controls, Non-Conformance
• Support SAP master data creation via Implementation reports, managing QM notifications for product launches.
• Support Update Recipe & Production Version details as required. Co-ordinate accordingly with Master Data Management (MDM) colleagues.
