Job summary

Carrington West seeks a Package Manager/Agent to lead headhouse construction packages for a major HS2 JV, based in Northolt, West London. The role is contract-based for 2 years, with day rates of £575-£650 Umbrella inside IR35.

You will manage subcontractors and site teams, align with designers and QA, and drive progress to programme and budget while maintaining strict safety standards. Candidates should have 6+ years in civils and hold CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, and a Building/Civil Engineering

Are you a Package Manager with experience working on heavy civils for major infrastructure projects?

Do you have previous experience working for a tier 1 contractor?

This is an excellent opportunity for a Package Manager / Agent to join a leading joint venture, delivering buildings as part of HS2.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as an Agent / Package Manager for a tier one contractor, delivering building structures, as well as fit out works.

Location: Northolt, West London Rate: £575-£650/day DPE - Umbrella, Inside IR35 Contract: 2 years, expected to run until February 2028

This is a delivery-focused role, responsible for the preparation, management and delivery of headhouse packages, working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, designers and the wider project team.

Key Experience Required:

• Package Manager / Agent-level experience
• Minimum 4 years' experience at Agent level
• Structural steel, civils, architectural fit-out, headhouse construction, urban realm
• Strong subcontractor and site team management experience
• Proven Tier 1 contractor experience
• Experience delivering complex construction packages from pre-construction through to completion
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodology and best practiceExperience managing programme, budget, resources and subcontractor performance
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial interfaces
• Experience working with design, engineering, QA and commercial teams

Requirements:

• 6+ years' construction experience
• HNC/HND/Degree in Building, Civil Engineering or equivalent
• CSCS
• SMSTS/SSSTS
• Strong Health & Safety and Environmental awareness
• Good IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, document control systems and AutoCAD

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and third parties, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, within budget and in accordance with the contract and design requirements.
