Role Purpose:

You will join the team in the National Underwriting Centre (NUC) in delivering a high-quality service to our underwriters and brokers whilst practicing and developing technical capability and broader business skills in the Insurance Industry.

This is a key role created to support the Commercial Master Package team in line with Chubb’s ambitious growth plans across the UKI and Mid-Market Practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for the underwriting of renewal package and monoline business consisting of UKI and Multinational Property, Casualty and Global Terrorism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwriting and processing of renewable Mono Property and Package business up to a premium of $250,000 in line with our underwriting appetite, authority limits, and business plan.
• Liaison with and participation at meetings with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders, face-to-face and virtually.
• Navigating our Global Network in the placement of Multinational Programmes.
• To meet company standards regarding policy documentation, timeframes for quoting new and renewal business, and compliance issues.
• To work within the framework of the Chubb Code of Conduct, Compliance policies, Peer Review, and protocols established by the Company.
• Experience in the insurance market is required, together with a desire to develop your Property & Casualty knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
• You will need to demonstrate a practical and common-sense approach to dealing with differing situations and an ability to tackle problems often against tight timeframes.
• Interest in Multinational programs.
• Minimum A level standard.
• Competent in Microsoft Office.
• Expected to undertake “on the job” training, which may involve working in other Chubb offices.
• Keen to embark on, or working towards CII qualifications.
