Job summary

de Le Cuona seeks a talented Midweight Textile Designer to join its Windsor studio and own the fabrics side of collections. You will drive woven design from inspiration to sampling, collaborating with mills and artisans to bring ideas to life.

Three-plus years in a UK design studio, plus strong weave knowledge and advanced Photoshop/Illustrator skills, are essential. Travel within the UK and internationally is encouraged, with a competitive salary and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically 3+ years in a textile design role within a UK design studio.
• Hands-on woven design experience; weave studio background preferred.
• Strong understanding of weave structures, yarns, fabric composition and manufacturing.
• Experience taking fabrics from concept to launch with mills or manufacturers.
• Advanced Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
• A portfolio showing original ideas and launched woven work.
• Excellent organisation and ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally, and the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Design original woven fabrics from concept through to sampling, production and launch.
• Own fabric development projects and provide clear direction to mills and artisans.
• Collaborate with Marketing on launches, photoshoots and bespoke projects.
• Manage timelines, sampling, specifications and studio documentation.
• Present concepts using Adobe tools and participate in industry events.
