Rarebreed Veterinary Partners’ Westford Veterinary Emergency Referral Center is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician for our overnight nursing team in Westford, MA. The shift is 3x12s with weekend day requirements, with some flexibility on days.

You will perform examinations, anesthesia management, CPR, phlebotomy, and various nursing procedures, discharge patients, and maintain records. We offer a supportive, team‑oriented environment with ongoing CE and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• Certified or Licensed Veterinary Technician in Massachusetts or eligible for transfer preferred.
• Significant experience with anesthesia required.
• Prior specialty and emergency experience preferred.
• Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people.

Responsabilités

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones.
• Perform exams and take histories from clients, including complex medical timelines.
• Conducts basic examinations to assess stability.
• Perform advanced nursing skills, including CPR, Phlebotomy, Cystocentesis, lab tests and various medication administration.
• Administer and monitor sedated patients for minor procedures as well as advanced anesthetic skills.
• Perform patient discharges.
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients.
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy.
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas.
