Job summary

UKCIL Ltd is seeking personal assistants in Morpeth (NE61) to support a transgender woman with Motor Neurone Disease with 10 x hour overnight waking shifts, Monday to Friday from 10pm to 8am. Duties include using a hoist, night-time positional changes, assisting with the Stellar Ventilator and mask, and responding to alarms and emergencies.

There is an option of seven 1-hour evening calls to heat meals and assist with feeding, hydration and mask management, either separately or with an earlier

Qualifications

• Experience caring for someone with Motor Neurone Disease is advantageous.
• Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight support using a hoist and assist with night-time mobility.
• Assist with the Stellar Ventilator, including mask management, responding to alarms and troubleshooting in emergencies.
• Support with night-time drinks and hydration as required.
