Job summary

SSEN Transmission is hiring an Overhead Line Maintenance Manager for the North East, Tayside & Argyll region. You will oversee a team of maintenance engineers and lines personnel, coordinating inspections, routine upkeep and repairs to ensure a safe, reliable and compliant transmission network.

You will drive the maintenance strategy, manage performance and budgets, and coordinate responses during major events.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of maintenance or operations teams.
• Strong safety culture and regulatory knowledge (ISO 55000, ESQCR, CDM).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confident data handling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a maintenance team to ensure inspections, planned works and urgent repairs are completed safely and effectively.
• Provide clear guidance and leadership aligned with SSEN Leadership Blueprint and seek cost savings, quality improvement and growth.
• Manage performance and budget forecasts with clear KPIs and Opex reporting.
