Job summary

SSEN Transmission in the North East, Tayside & Argyll region is seeking an Overhead Line Maintenance Manager. You will supervise a maintenance team, coordinating inspections, planned works and urgent repairs to keep the network safe, reliable and compliant.

This permanent full-time role requires strong safety leadership, hands-on experience with overhead line assets and budgeting. A full UK driving licence is essential for travel across the operational area.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of overhead line assets, ideally ISO 55000.
• Demonstrable experience in leading a team within overhead line maintenance.
• Strong dedication to safety and knowledge of ISO 55000, ESQCR, CDM and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with confident data management; MS Office essential.
• Full valid driving licence for travel across the operational area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a maintenance team to ensure inspections, planned works and urgent repairs are completed safely and effectively.
• Provide visible, confident guidance and embody the SSEN Leadership Blueprint; identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement and growth.
• Manage performance and budget forecasts, ensuring accurate OPEX reporting and clear KPIs.
• Oversee round-the-clock response during major events, coordinating actions for a resilient network.
• Foster SSEN Transmission's safety culture and contribute to policies ensuring safe working practices.
