Job summary

Ipsum is seeking an experienced OHL Lines Craftsperson LE1/LE2 to join our team in Andover. You will construct, maintain and replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV, leading by example and upholding safety and quality standards.

The role is full-time and permanent, with opportunities for overtime and progression to professional qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life cover and health support.

Qualifications

Have previous experience as a lines crafts person.
Hold current DNO authorisations (Work on Dead Networks, Live LV Working)
IPAF accreditation
NRSWA Operative
IOSH Working safely qualification
Driving licence with C1+E category
City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322)
NPTC Chainsaw qualification

Responsibilities

Construct/maintain/replace overhead electrical networks up to and including 33kV.
Lead by example and safely undertake works as directed.
Conduct and abide by risk assessment process prior to project commencement and continually review and report changes to your Chargehand.
Ability to always work safely and in line with Company and statutory safety requirements within Ipsum.
Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures and client/Company distribution safety rules.
Install overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards.
Highlight any concerns, unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager.
Mentor other team members including LE2 Lines Craftsperson
