E3 Recruitment is seeking an Overhead Crane Operator for a growing engineering manufacturer based in Leeds. The role involves safe operation of overhead cranes, moving heavy components, and supporting production with material handling.

Standard hours include shift patterns with overtime opportunities. With a permanent, long-term contract, you will work in a state-of-the-art facility, ensuring safe lifting practices and efficient material flow across the site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating an overhead crane in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Accredited FLT licence - essential.
• Experience handling large or heavy components.
• Good understanding of safe lifting and material handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes to safely move large and heavy components within the production facility.
• Load, unload and position materials.
• Use lifting equipment and follow safe lifting procedures.
• Support production teams with movement of materials and components.
• Operate FLT to move materials around the site.
• Work safely in accordance with company procedures and health and safety requirements.

Overhead Crane Operator required.£18.90 per hour, three-day weekends, 33 days holiday, and a 10% pension scheme are just a few of the benefits available with this growing engineering manufacturer in Leeds.

Due to continued growth, this well-established manufacturer is looking to recruit an Operator to support production and material handling operations within a state-of-the-art engineering facility. This is a long-term opportunity offering stability, overtime, and progression.

The Overhead Crane Operator role will involve:

• Operating overhead cranes to safely move large and heavy engineering components
• Loading, unloading and positioning materials within the production facility
• Using lifting equipment and following safe lifting procedures
• Supporting production teams with the movement of materials and components
• Operating FLT equipment to move and position materials around the site
• Working safely in accordance with company procedures and health and safety requirements

In return, the role will offer:

• £32,450 annual salary including shift allowance
• Overtime paid at premium rates
• 33 days holiday
• 10% combined pension contribution

Overhead Crane Operator Requirements:

• Previous experience operating an overhead crane in an engineering or manufacturing environment

Working Hours:

• Week 1: Monday to Friday - 06:00 to 14:00
• Week 2: Monday to Thursday - 12:30 to 22:00

Based in Pudsey, the role is commutable from Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, and surrounding areas.
