Job summary

Lloyds British Group Ltd is hiring a Crane Engineer to inspect, service and repair overhead cranes and hoists across customer sites in Erith. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and provide expert technical guidance while ensuring compliance with LOLER and PUWER.

You’ll work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with options for flexible schedules and a strong focus on safety. A UK driving licence and robust communication skills are essential for building customer

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical background on overhead cranes
• NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering
• Experience servicing/repairing overhead cranes and hoists
• Good knowledge of LOLER and PUWER
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, inspection and maintenance of overhead cranes and hoists
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and completing repairs
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to improve reliability and minimise downtime
• Undertaking fault finding and equipment upgrades
• Ensuring work complies with LOLER and PUWER
• Producing accurate service reports and communicating findings
• Providing technical advice to customers
• Building relationships with customers through excellent service
• Working safely at height and following Lloyds British safety procedures
