Job summary

Lloyds British, part of the Speedy Hire Group, is seeking an experienced Crane Engineer to join our nationwide team. You will inspect, service, repair and test cranes and lifting equipment across UK customer sites, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role demands strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding, independent work, and clear reporting. A full UK driving licence and relevant LEEA qualification or equivalent are desirable; full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with cranes, lifting equipment or related mechanical systems.
• Experience servicing, maintaining, or inspecting crane equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience in testing, inspection or service environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, servicing and maintenance of cranes and lifting equipment on customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out repairs as needed.
• Perform load and functional testing to ensure safety and compliance.
• Produce accurate inspection and service documentation and advise on corrective actions.
