Job description

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for an Outreach Worker in a lively and supportive SEN school in Macclesfield. You will be required to support students with SEND and engage with the community. The school caters to young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Take attendance in the mornings and liaise with parents regarding absences.
2. Provide support work in the community, liaising with social services and other agencies to support young people.
3. Apply behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies to manage behaviour and facilitate engagement with the curriculum.
4. Refer to the individual education and health care plans (EHCP) for each young person.

Requirements:

1. Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a personal vehicle, with willingness to obtain business insurance.
2. Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
3. Possess an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain one.
4. Provide two professional references related to child work.
