Job summary

New Way Tuition Ltd is seeking an Outreach Tutor to support students who do not attend mainstream education due to SEN, SEMH or risk of exclusion. You will provide one-to-one and group sessions in Maths, English, PSHE, and mentoring, visiting homes, libraries, and schools.

The role requires a passion for helping diverse learners from EYFS to GCSE/Functional Skills, with experience in literacy and maths and a current Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Previous tutoring or teaching experience, especially with diverse age groups.
• QTS (QTLS), PGCE or Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Maths, or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for student success.
• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Providing personalised tutoring sessions to students of diverse ages and abilities.
• Inspiring and motivating students to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic goals.
• Building strong connections with students and their families through clear communication and care.
