Job summary

The Salvation Army Newport Open Door Project is hiring for a fixed-term maternity cover (1 year) starting December 2026. This full-time role (40 hours per week) focuses on outreach to rough sleepers across Newport.

Responsibilities

• Support early morning outreach across Newport city centre and nearby locations, engaging with individuals sleeping rough.
• Assist in assessment of rough sleepers and create pathways into accommodation.
• Robustly record essential data and work with partners across statutory and voluntary sectors.
