Job summary

Jobtrain is recruiting for an Outreach Support Worker in the Greater Glasgow area. The role offers contracts for 30, 25 and 18 hours per week and involves helping individuals live independently, build confidence and participate in local activities.

You'll work to enable people to manage daily tasks, access the community and pursue personal interests, with shifts across early mornings to evenings, seven days a week. A rewarding role supporting community wellbeing.

Our Outreach Service provides personalised, community-based support to individuals across the Greater Glasgow area. We are currently looking for Support Workers to join our team and have a variety of contracts available offering; 30 hours, 25 hours and 18 hours per week.

Every day is different in this rewarding role. You'll support individuals to develop confidence, maintain their independence, and achieve their personal goals. Whether it's helping someone manage everyday tasks, attend appointments, build social connections, or try new activities, you'll play a vital role in making a positive difference in their lives.

What you'll be doing

You'll provide tailored support that enables individuals to live as independently as possible, including:

• Supporting with everyday tasks such as shopping, attending appointments, and household responsibilities.


• Encouraging people to develop practical life skills and confidence in managing their daily routines.


• Helping individuals access and enjoy their local community through activities such as visiting cafés, going to the cinema, attending events, and pursuing personal interests.


• Building positive relationships that promote inclusion, wellbeing, and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Healthcare Support - Assist with healthcare needs, including medication administration and personal care, ensuring individuals receive safe and respectful support.


• Promoting Independence - Support individuals to achieve their goals by following person-centred Support Plans tailored to their needs, aspirations, and preferences.


• Record Keeping - Maintain accurate records of support provided, daily activities, and progress towards outcomes.


• Collaborative Working - Work closely with colleagues, families, healthcare professionals, and the individuals we support to deliver high-quality, consistent care.

Working hours

Our service operates 7 days a week, with flexible shifts available between 8:00am and 10:00pm. Support is provided within the community, with many shifts starting from individuals' homes across the Greater Glasgow area.
