Job summary

Supply Star Recruitment Limited is seeking an Outreach Mentor in Solihull to deliver mentoring sessions and learning activities for young people with additional needs in community settings. The role tracks progress against EHCP outcomes and builds positive, trusting relationships within a supportive team.

Full training is provided, including planning, assessment and reporting. Driving licence with business insurance is required, DBS check is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting individuals (education, coaching or mentoring).
• Ability to plan activities for individuals or groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence with business insurance.

Outreach Mentor - Solihull

Pay: £90-£110 per day + Mileage

Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm (term time only)

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist alternative provision in the West Midlands that supports children and young people with additional needs through mentoring and creative learning.

They are seeking SEN Mentors who can build strong relationships, provide structured support, and help individuals work towards their EHCP targets. Full training will be provided, including planning, assessment, and reporting.

This provision operates outside of a traditional school setting, using community-based environments to encourage engagement, confidence, and personal development.

Essential requirements

• NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting individuals (e.g. education, coaching, mentoring)
• Ability to plan activities for individuals or groups
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Full UK driving licence with business insurance

Desirable

• Experience supporting EHCP targets
• Understanding of safeguarding
• A hobby or practical skill you can bring into mentoring (e.g. sport, music, cooking)
