Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead outpatient clinics across the Breast Centre, Clinic A and Clinic D within General Surgery Outpatients Services. The role requires strong leadership, post-registration nursing experience in surgical settings, and ability to manage staff, rosters and resources while delivering high-quality patient care.

You will deputise for Band 7 Senior Sister and Matron and participate in budget management.

Qualifications

• RN with post-registration experience and awareness of professional responsibilities.
• Excellent communication, medicines administration and wound care skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice and safeguarding requirements.
• Ability to lead, prioritise and manage staff in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Support and deputise for Band 7 Senior Sister and Matron; manage staff and resources.
• Oversee day-to-day management and co-ordination of the department.
• Review and manage budgetary resources; rostering and budgetary controls.
• Provide education and training opportunities for staff and students.
