Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Band 6 Junior Sister to lead general surgery outpatient clinics, including the Breast Centre and Clinics A and D. The post deputises for the Band 7 Senior Sister and Matron, managing staff, rosters and budgets, and running the department day to day.

Clinics cover urology, plastics, gastroenterology, colorectal, bariatrics and senior health for around 65,000 patients monthly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day management and co-ordination of the department
• Ensure education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre- and post-registration students
• Provide specialist knowledge where a post-registration course is essential

Band 6 Junior Sister leading the general surgery outpatient clinics at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, including the Breast Centre and Clinics A and D. The post deputises for the Band 7 Senior Sister and Matron, managing staff, rosters and budgets, and running the department day to day. Clinics span urology, plastics, gastroenterology, colorectal, bariatrics and senior health, serving around 65,000 patients a month. NMC registration and significant post-registration experience, ideally surgical, decide fit.
