Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Outpatient Team Leader to coordinate our team of coordinators and clinic activity. This role focuses on delivering timely patient care and efficient service delivery within a busy outpatient environment.

You will lead day-to-day supervision, manage clinic rotas, and train staff to sustain high standards. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced NHS setting.

Qualifications

• Clerical / administrative experience, including filing and reception.
• Line management experience of administrative staff in a healthcare or customer-facing environment.
• Experience of using a Patient Administration System.
• Knowledge of RTT and other performance targets.
• Experience supporting urgent or cancer pathways (e.g., 2WW / fast-track) and understanding of MDT processes.
• Knowledge of Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Oversee clinic management and regeneration processes, coordinate clinic rotas, and ensure outcome processes are completed accurately.
• Train and support staff to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare professionals via telephone and Microsoft Teams.
• Use MS Office and clinical systems to manage workflows in a busy outpatient setting.
