Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking two enthusiastic Outpatient Receptionists to join the dynamic Outpatients Reception Team across settings. You will provide a professional reception and booking service, manage patient pathways, and ensure timely and accurate data entry in CareFlow.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service (or equivalent) and strong interpersonal, communication and IT skills. NHS experience and flexible working hours are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Good standard level of education (2 GCSE’s or equivalent).
• NVQ level 2 in Customer Service (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Use patient electronic system daily to complete outcome forms.
• Assist in delivering outpatient clinic trolleys to clinics.
• Handle routine appointment enquiries (postpone/cancel/rearrange) professionally.
• Direct patients to waiting areas in a courteous manner.
• Be flexible to cover other roles and varying hours to ensure core hours coverage.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Carry out other duties within the grade as required by the Reception Team Leader.
• Ensure patient demographics are up to date on CareFlow.
