Job summary

SWFT Clinical Services Ltd is seeking a Pharmacist to provide safe, effective, and patient-centred pharmaceutical services in the George Eliot Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy. This maternity leave cover spans 9 months on a fixed-term basis.

You will perform clinical and accuracy checks on outpatient and discharge prescriptions, provide medicines guidance to patients and teams, and support oral chemotherapy processes while ensuring compliance with professional standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmacy (Masters or equivalent).
• Current UK registration as Pharmacist.
• Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy experience, NHS hospital prescribing awareness.
• Knowledge of Wellsky/CMM
• Knowledge of EPR system.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinates and contributes to day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy, including clinical and accuracy checks of hospital prescriptions and discharge prescriptions.
• Provide medicines management advice to patients and clinical teams to improve prescribing safety.
• Support chemotherapy screening pharmacists in accuracy checks on oral SACT prescriptions.
• Develop staff, monitor performance and ensure governance standards.
• Act as Responsible Pharmacist when required.
• Maintain relationships with commissioners, customers and medical staff.
