Band 7: £46,148 - £52,809 per annum pro rata

Part-time: 22.5 hours per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

The role is ideal for a Pharmacist either seeking to transition into a hospital setting or develop their experience in a new area of practice while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

The position is offered on a part-time basis working 3 days a week in our Outpatient Pharmacy. Since opening in April 2022, we have expanded our service and continue to build on this growth to provide excellent pharmacy services to our community. We pride ourselves on offering expert care and advice to our patients, staff, and visitors, prioritizing safety and patient experience.

Training and support will be provided to enable you to confidently deliver high-quality care to patients attending outpatient clinics (Dermatology, Rheumatology, TB, Gastroenterology, Antenatal, Paediatrics, ENT, and Fracture Clinic) and advising on over-the-counter medicines. You will work as part of the wider outpatient team and collaborate regularly with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the Superintendent Pharmacist in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services within the outpatient pharmacy for staff and visitors to MKUH.
2. Facilitate and support the optimal and cost-effective use of medicines.
3. Ensure compliance with pharmacy procedures, clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk management.
