Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pathway Co-ordinator (Waiting List) Band 3 for the Queen's Hospital Outpatients team in Burton. You will handle patient queries, booking and clinic preparation, and liaise with consultants and nursing staff.

Strong organisational/time-management skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure are essential. Experience in a busy outpatient setting or call handling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Essential qualities are strong organisational/time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Demonstrable experience of working in a busy outpatient environment or call handling experience.
• Confident communicators with the ability to liaise with colleagues and patients.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with patient queries both face to face and over the telephone
• Clinic preparation including chasing patient scans and escalating where appropriate
• Booking patient appointments and navigating capacity issues
• Monitoring and actioning emails from the generic inbox
• Deputise for the team leader where necessary
• Liaising with consultants, nurses, HCA's and other outpatient staff where required
• Following up on any missing outcomes from clinic
