Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Outpatient Clinical Assistant to join the Head and Neck Outpatients Department, supporting ophthalmology clinics at the King’s Treatment Centre in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

The role is NHS AfC Band 3, permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £25,760–£27,476 per annum. Training and development opportunities are provided within a supportive, inclusive Trust.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate good communication skills and understanding of basic requirements for individualised patient care.
• Care Certificate or willingness to work towards.
• Previous customer care experience and life skills; NHS care experience in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to outpatients in the Head and Neck department.
• Support ophthalmology clinics within the King’s Treatment Centre.
• Assist with vision and visual field assessments and minor operations as needed.
