Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay is seeking a motivated administrator to join the Outpatient Booking and Reception Team at Furness General Hospital, Barrow-in-Furness. You will handle telephone calls and queries from patients, GPs and hospital staff to arrange outpatient appointments.

Experience in a call centre or reception is desirable; training will be provided, and flex hours including occasional weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English are required.
• Keyboard skills and basic computer literacy.
• Customer care experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone queries and book outpatient appointments.
• Work with confidential information and NHS systems.
• Support flexible working hours may be required.

Skills

Knowledge of NHS Patient Admin systems

Ability to communicate well

Ability to work with limited supervise

Education
