Job summary

Dunbia West Devon is seeking a reliable Yard Operative to join our outdoor team. You will help keep the yard clean and safe, handle deliveries to the correct departments, and support other departments as needed.

You must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather, follow health and safety rules, and ideally hold a current forklift license (training provided). The role runs Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm, paying £14.03 per hour.

Qualifications

• Reliable with a strong work ethic and comfortable working outdoors.
• Able to follow health and safety procedures in a food-processing environment.
• Current forklift license is desirable; training will be provided.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Keep the yard tidy and promote a safe, clean outdoor area.
• Take deliveries to the relevant department and support team members.
• Operate a forklift to move pallets and empty bins into skips.
• Store and supply production with bins, trays and pallets.
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards in all yard activities.
• Ensure external doors are kept closed when not in use.
