Job summary

Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited is seeking a Yard Assistant to support outdoor yard operations and provide excellent customer service at our Watford branch. You will assist with loading and unloading, book deliveries into the warehouse, and operate a forklift with full training provided.

You should be comfortable working outdoors, handling heavy goods, and maintaining safety standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing service skills with a friendly, helpful approach.
• Ability to load/unload stock and operate equipment safely.
• Ability to work outdoors and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver high standards of service and be friendly to customers.
• Base outside, process customer orders, load/unload vehicles.
• Unload building products, book them into the branch warehouse.
• Use forklift (training provided).
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment and follow safety standards.
• Be enthusiastic and capable of handling heavy stock in yard operations.
