Job summary

Veolia in Padworth, Reading, is hiring a Waste Collection Operative to join a local team. You will collect waste from outside residential properties, manually handle and tip bins, and provide a high standard of service to residents.

You'll work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 06:30–15:00, with overtime when needed. The role is outdoors in all weather, requires good safety adherence, and offers a range of benefits including annual leave, pension, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect waste from outside residential properties within West Berkshire.
• Manually pull bins and load them onto the refuse vehicle.
• Deliver a high standard of service to residents.
• Record work completed and report collection issues on the mobile devices.
• Walk up to 10 miles per day in all weather conditions.
