Job summary

NatureScot is offering an 18‑month Apprentice National Nature Reserve Officer role based at Creag Meagaidh NNR or Beinn Eighe NNR. You will work with reserve managers and seasonal staff on habitat restoration, monitoring and public engagement while completing a Land and Nature Apprenticeship.

The position includes a salary of £27,482, 35 hours weekly, and opportunities to gain qualifications such as LANTRA certifications. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate an interest in and passion for nature restoration.
• Be willing to work outdoors in all conditions and remote situations.
• Be ready to undertake a Modern Apprenticeship in Land and Nature.
• Be prepared to attend off-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical skills in reserve management and habitat restoration.
• Assist with habitat and species monitoring and project management.
• Support volunteers and community events on reserves.
• Develop understanding of land management and nature restoration.
