Job summary

St James Church of England Primary School is seeking a TA2 Horticultural and Outdoor Learning Teaching Assistant to support our bespoke outdoor learning programmes. You will work under the guidance of teachers and help pupils access the curriculum outdoors and in the classroom, bringing learning to life through horticulture.

This permanent, part‑time role (10 hours per week) offers a pro rata NJC04‑NJC06 salary (£26,016–£26,847 p.a.) and the chance to inspire curiosity, resilience and teamwork

Qualifications

• Love of outdoor environment and practical horticulture knowledge.
• Ability to guide and support pupils' learning in different settings.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of horticultural and outdoor learning programmes.
• Assist pupils in classroom and outdoor environments.
• Work under teacher supervision to support pupils across the curriculum.
• Contribute to whole school development and safeguarding.
