Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Birkenhead is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to service SPEN contracts, performing grass and hedge maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying and litter picking. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

The role is permanent, part-time with 40 hours weekly, based in Birkenhead and surrounding Wirral areas, with training and safety procedures provided on onboarding.

Qualifications

• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Working on SPEN Contract, servicing 30 substations daily around Wirral and Chester.
• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.
